Conclusion
After looking at all the Ethical studies, there is not one in which i completely agree with. They all have too many criticisms as well as strengths. When first looking at this topic, I did believe that The Death Penalty should be re-introduced but now I have had second thoughts. However, I do agree with Immanuel Kant and his Ethical theory when he says, "an eye for an eye." Kant's theory also ignores the fact that The Death Penalty is an irreversible change and in the past, people sentenced to death have been proven innocent. The Death Penalty violates Human Rights and their dignity. Finally, it costs a lot more to successfully execute someone than it does to imprison them for life. In conclusion, I believe that The Death Penalty should not be re-intoduced in Great Britain, but after committing a terrible crime (such as a murder) a person should be sent to life in an un-luxory prison and be forced to work, benefiting the community.
